(Kaoru won't be responding to this post, though you may thread amongst yourselves about her abrupt exit and cryptic not-warning. Anyone going to her room -- yes, she has a room, it just hasn't got a bed and she sleeps in the infirmary -- will find the three books she owns [one on Amicus, one a history of Reial, and one a sex ed textbook] and the bracelet cobbled together from bits of metal that Erika got her for Lunasa, as well as various flowers she received for Amicus drying on her desk. You may call dibs on her abandoned stuff if you wish, though some of you might be less inclined to than others.)

[The communicator picks up the sound of foot step, and after a moment, the sound of a door opening. It appears that it's being jostled around a bit as Ryuuki walks.]
I don't understand...why would she leave...?
[Voice]
Does it look like she packed?
[Voice]
[The sound of a door opening, and then a short silence.]
There's some books here..also a bracelet and some flowers.
I guess this could be just what's left after she packed...but...
[But she doesn't seem like the kind of person who would keep anything that she hadn't planned to keep...]

If it hadn't been important, I don't think she would have kept it in the first place.

Do you think she cleared out with nothing but the clothes on her back because she was...afraid, and in a hurry?

[As he asks this, there's the sound of shuffling as Ryuuki slowly gathers up the flowers on her desk.]

[A soft thud as he stacks the books.]
Why didn't she ask us for help...? [The question isn't necessarily directed at Hisoka.]

It's just that she left a goodbye at all. Maybe that was for our sakes. And I think, somehow, that she did not want to be forgotten. But what is that warning, anywyay? She thinks we're in danger. But from what?--what would she be warning us against except what she herself has experience with?
[slow burn]
It's Kaoru-logic, that's what it is. And whether it works out to a warning or a cry for help, it's the best she can do. I'm going to understand it as both.
[Voice] So, so late... orz
I'm holding onto her things until we see her again.
